Founder of Red Bird Cottage and Farm | National Certified Counselor
Hi, I'm Alisha Casamona—a National Certified Mental Health Counselor (NCC) and a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP). I’m deeply honored to share what God has so graciously blessed us with here at Red Bird Cottage and Farm.
My journey began with a deep passion for understanding the human experience. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2007, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Community Counseling from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Since then, I’ve completed extensive post-master’s coursework toward a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with a focused interest in compassion fatigue and holistic wellness for individual in stressful professions.
In 2013, I relocated from Pennsylvania to sunny Florida to be closer to family in Eustis—and to embrace a life rooted in warmth, community, and purpose.
I now live on a peaceful lakeside farm where I enjoy time with loved ones, caring for animals (ask me about them!), and creating a space where others can reconnect with themselves and find healing.
Through my work and the experiences we offer at Red Bird, I hope to provide every guest with a sense of peace, wellness, and true care. I believe mental wellness is essential to achieving our goals and living fulfilling lives—and I want you to know, I’m here to listen and support you however I can.
King is our beloved, registered miniature horse, and truly a treasure—worth his weight in gold. Now in his teens, King has a heart as big as his personality. Gentle, kind, and incredibly well-mannered, he’s even potty trained and enjoys occasional indoor visits (yes, really!).
King has an impressive past—he once graced the Roadster’s Hall of Fame as a youngster and still enjoys pulling his cart with pride. Whether he's making new friends, posing for photos, or trotting around the farm, he brings joy and smiles to everyone he meets.
Come meet King during your stay—you’re sure to fall in love with this sweet and special little horse.
Bale is a young, registered Shetland pony with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s all boy—full of energy, curiosity, and charm. His favorite things in the world? Cuddles, pets, treats, and playtime!
While Bale has been shown in the past, these days he finds joy in a different calling—bringing smiles to others and helping guests connect with the peaceful, healing spirit of the farm.
If you’re looking for a playful companion during your visit, Bale is always happy to say hello (especially if you bring a snack!).
Annie is a stunning blue roan paint and a true gem here at Red Bird Farm. At just 4 years old, she’s still considered a baby—but don’t let her age fool you. Annie has the heart and wisdom of an old soul.
She’s gentle, kind, and always eager to please—the kind of horse who instinctively takes care of her rider. Annie will jog all day if you let her, and she does it with a calm, willing spirit that makes her a favorite among guests.
She loves attention, and if you really want to win her over, bring her a few carrots—her favorite treat!
Come spend time with Annie, and you’ll quickly see just how special she is.
Tipsy is a big, beautiful Quarter Horse mare with the bloodlines of a champion and a presence that turns heads. After spending years in the show pen, she's now embracing a new and exciting chapter—she’s expecting her first foal in June!
Tipsy carries herself with grace and confidence, a true reflection of her winning lineage. While she once wowed the crowd in the ring, she's now preparing for her most meaningful role yet—motherhood.
We’re counting down the days until her little one arrives, and we can’t wait to welcome the newest member of the Red Bird Farm family!
Jackson is a striking 17.1-hand Quarter Horse gelding with the resume of a true champion. With multiple AQHA and NSBA World Top Tens, and a Second-in-the-Nation title in last year’s AQHA Green Hunter Under Saddle, he has earned his place in the spotlight.
Despite his impressive size, Jackson is the definition of a gentle giant—kind, calm, and a joy to be around. He spent last year traveling the country with his trainer, showing and winning at top competitions across the USA.
Now, he’s enjoying a well-deserved season of rest and relaxation here at Red Bird Farm. Whether grazing in the pasture or receiving well-earned admiration from guests, Jackson brings a quiet grace and undeniable presence to the herd.
